Annunciator Modules SB 240, SB 241 and SB 242
The SB 240, SB 241 and SB 242 annunciator modules are used for the indication of danger and alarm situations and are intended for mounting in the M 24 mosaic systems. As each module handles both the processing and the display of process signals, they represent an economical solution both for the indication of single messages as well as for the use in large indicator panels. Central functions such as horn acknowledgement, lamp acknowledgement and lamp test are activated by means of pushbuttons in the area of the indicator panel or by means of external pushbuttons. The annunciator modules are easily connected using multicore cables (8-core or 10-core cables) with connectors. The standard cable length is 2.20 m.
If a message text is modified, it is not necessary to replace the entire labelling plate or foil, as only the illuminated tile for the corresponding message needs to be changed.
The annunciator modules are attached to the mosaic grid from the rear. The illuminated tiles with labels or modules with illuminated units are attached from the front. The annunciator modules SB 240, SB 241 and SB 242 are available for 24 V DC, 48 V DC and 60 V DC.
Design
Due to their enclosed design, the modules correspond to protection class IP 42 (shock protection, protection against solid bodies, protection against moisture). The modules are particularly suitable for use in locations where open-type switch elements cannot normally be installed due to the danger of contact oxidation or contamination. The signalling circuits consist of well-proven soldered printed-board relays and industrial electronic components mounted on printed-circuit boards.
The contacts of the lamp socket (filament lamp T 6,8 / 1.2 W max.), too, are rigidly soldered on to these circuit boards. The connecting cable is fixed with a cable grip in the housing.
