The P 421 test switch is contained in an instrument case with the bezel dimensions 144 mm x 144 mm (DIN 43700). The integrated blade contacts are set to the test or operating position by means of a switch knob on the device's faceplate. Setting the switch to the test position mechanically enables the integrated connector sockets.
