The monitoring device GESÜ 02 serves to continuously protect dc circuits against earth-leakage faults and both overvoltage and undervoltage.
Design
The device is enclosed in a robust sheet-steel instrument housing with the bezel dimensions 144 mm x 144 mm. All control elements such as setpoint adjuster and test and acknowledgement pushbuttons, are located on the device's faceplate. Depending on the model selected, the connections can be made either on the rear panel or on the front panel. The terminal blocks are provided with protective covers against accidental contact. The facilities for earth leakage and overvoltage/undervoltage monitoring work independently of each other. Three floating N/O contacts are available on each PCB to relay the alarm messages. It is possible to inhibit and acknowledge alarms from a remote location.
Available Versions
The device is available as combined monitoring unit GESÜ 02 that both protects against earth leakage and undervoltage/overvoltage. The monitoring modules can also be supplied as separate units: the GEÜ 02 unit detects ground faults only, the GSÜ 02 unit only monitors for voltage deviations. The device housing can be of the flush mounting or surface mounting type. If required, the modules can be supplied without housing for mounting into existing racks.
